March 2026 - Northern NSW Tour
On our first ever Australian tour, we travelled to Northern NSW, Australia, to present before/now/after for audiences in Grafton, Lismore and Coffs Harbour.
Our violinist, Eden, grew up in Grafton and was delighted to return to many of the stages she’d grown up performing on.
It was also incredible to work with a number of local students, explaining our looping and composition processes, inviting them to share their own work, and even collaborating on some music together!
Thank you to everyone who came along to support; it is so appreciated! Some of our favourite memories and testimonials are just below…
“…we all felt the privilege to be there and hear and see your extremely talented passionate performance..”
“[the audience] they were ecstatic!. Virtually gave them a standing ovation.”
“Great young artists… so pleased to see composing/improvising in this kind of format.”
“the show was actually very lovely and the Concert Room housed it really beautifully. I was left with a really serene and heart-filled feeling…”
In a year that’s set to be full of creative development, we’re stoked to be working with Ensemble Offspring’s Claire Edwardes as part of their Hatched Mentorship program!
You can read more about the program linked just above, and we look forward to sharing our journey with you more soon.

We are delighted to be spending this year working under the mentorship of artists from Topology, Queensland's leading creative and collaborative music groups.
In addition to playing in a bootcamp in September, you’ll be able to hear a suite of new works, including some for Topology’s core members, in a concert in December (check back for updates on dates!)
We are thrilled to be leaning into more compositional practice and look forward to sharing our work with you soon!

After a busy month of performance at the Expo, Duo Aki returned to Melbourne for a performance on home soil: live in Naarm/Melbourne on Friday 30th of May, 7pm, at the Mission to the Seafarers, Docklands.
For the first time, we presented the show in a fully immersive 70-minute experience, featuring moments of improvisation, spontaneity and nostalgia.
Our concert details were broadcast on ClassikOn, What’s On Melbourne, and Continuo.
It was truly wonderful to share our work with a new community back home, and a thank you to the University of Melbourne’s IgniteLab grants for supporting this project!

Before we made it to the Expo, we presented our show for the very first time at Eden’s exchange uni, the International College of Liberal Arts, in Yamanashi, Japan.
It was wonderful to share our show with audiences from across the globe: not only students, but friends and colleagues from Japan too. Live looping, custom visuals and bilingual narration: what more do you need?
We were pretty proud of the poster, if you can’t tell…
